Public Safety Alert Re: Pokemon Go Phone App
With the sudden popularity of the recently released mobile phone application/game called “Pokemon Go” the Auburn Police Department would like to remind the public, using common sense when playing the game should be paramount above everything else.
Those playing the game need to remember the following:
-Do not use the application when you are operating a motor vehicle or bicycle
-Do not trespass on private property when trying to “catch” a Pokemon
-Be aware of yoursurroundings when walking and do not stare down at your phone not knowing hazards around you, like roadways, drop-offs, waterways, etc.
-Use caution when sharing your location as strangers can see your location information
-Travel in groups in public/well lit locations
On the evening of July 12, 2016 at approximately 10:44pm the Auburn Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 144 Owasco Street involving injury to the driver who crashed his vehicle into a tree. The driver admitted to actively playing the “Pokemon Go” game while driving causing him to become distracted and run off the roadway into a tree. See attached photo of the accident. Luckily the driver was not seriously injured but this is an example of how easily accidents can occur when someone is engaged in the game and not paying attention. The accident investigation is on-going.

오반시가공식 웹 사이트에 공공의 안전에 관한 주의를 투고해, 포켓몬을 잡는 것은 운전이 끝나고 나서로 하도록 드라이버에 주의를 재촉하고 있다.
이 페이지에는, 이 확장 현실(AR) 게임에 관계한다고 여겨지는 사고의 사진이 게재되고 있다.
이 드라이버는 Pokemon GO를 플레이 하면서 차를 운전한 결과, 도로를 그것이라고 나무에 충돌했다.
드라이버는 무사했지만, 유의해야 할 점은 그 밖에 있다.
운전중에, 이러한 어리석은 행동은 해서는 안된다.
개발원의 Niantic에는, 운전중에 PokemonGO를 플레이 할 수 없게 하는 방법을 생각해 주었으면 하는 것이다.

나는 포켓몬에 전혀 흥미가 없기 때문에 잘 알지 않습니다만
확실히 이동은 사람이 걷는 속도(10 KM이하?)에 제한되고 있는 님생각이 듭니다.
라고 말할까 상식으로 생각해 주어 안될 것이라고.
