仕事でよく聴いていたイーグルスのホテルカリフォルニア。前々から不思議ななんともミステリアスな歌詞だと思っていた。
たまたま某サイトをのぞいてみたら、なるほどと思える意訳がありましたのでスレにしてみました。
下は意訳のまとめです。
この精神病院だと思われる「ホテル・カリフォルニア」には、’50年代 ’60年代に新しい思想や権利やカルチャーで、
次のアメリカの豊かさを創ろうとした人たちがいる。
かつてヒッピーとしてLOVE＆PEACEを標榜して、ドラッグやセックスやコミュニティなんかの新しいカルチャーを築こうとしてた人たち。
愛や自由や反体制を叫んでいたのに、拝金主義にまみれてしまったロッカーたち。反戦運動をしていて、鎮圧されてしまった人たち。
公民権運動をしていて、制圧されてしまった人たち・・・。
’69年以降、犯罪者扱いされて、ギリギリでここに逃れてきたけれど、いまはみんな、自分たちの力で何も変えられなかった、自分たちが招いてしまった悪弊だらけの管理の檻の中に囚われているのだ。
歌詞の中のロックミュージシャンの “俺” も、マリファナ吸引か何かの罪でココへ連れて来られる。他の人たちの話を聞くうちに、自分がロック・スピリッツを忘れてしまい、音楽業界を取り巻く儲け主義や酒やドラッグやセックスや生産期限に囚われてしまって、
すっかり人間らしい心を失っていることに気づく。
ある日、逃げ出そうとするが、すでにがんじがらめ、もう二度とあの頃へ戻れないことを知ったのだ。
歌詞では精神病院をモチーフとしているけど、そう、「ホテル・カリフォルニア」とは、繁栄への希望と、愛や平和や自由や平等を失ってしまい、拝金主義と非道徳、傍若無人な管理主義に取りつかれた、“70年代前半のアメリカ社会そのものをさしているのだ。
深～い意味があったんですね。１９６０年代の社会背景が織り込まれた歌詞だとすれば、
なんとなく感じていた違和感を納得しました^^

일로 잘듣고 있던이글스의 호텔 캘리포니아.전전부터 신기한 정말 신비적인 가사라고 생각했다.
우연히 모사이트를 들여다 보면, 그렇구나라고 생각되는 의역이 있었으므로 스레로 해 보았습니다.
아래는 의역의정리입니다.
이 정신 병원이라고 생각되는 「호텔·캘리포니아」에는,㤺연대 㥄연대에 새로운 사상이나 권리나 문화로,
다음의 미국의 풍부함을 만들려고 한 사람들이 있다.
일찌기 히피로서LOVE＆PEACE을 표방하고,드러그나 섹스나 커뮤니티는의 새로운 문화축후도 하고 있었던 사람들.

가사안의 락 뮤지션의 “나” 도, 마리화나 흡인이나 무엇인가의 죄로 코코에 데려 올 수 있다.다른 사람들의 이야기를 들을 때에, 자신이 락·스피리츠를 잊어 버려,음악 업계를 둘러싸는 벌이 주의나 술이나 드러그나 섹스나 생산 기한으로 붙잡혀 버리고,
완전히 인간다운 마음을 잃고 있는 것에 눈치챈다.
있다 일, 도망가려고 하지만, 벌써 굴레, 더이상 두 번 다시 그 무렵에 돌아올 수 없는 것을 알았던 것이다.
가사에서는 정신 병원을 모티프로 하고 있지만,그렇게, 「호텔·캘리포니아」란,번영에의 희망과 사랑이나 평화나 자유나 평등을 잃어 버려,배자본주도리와 비도덕, 방약 무인인 관리 주의에 사로잡힌,"70연대 전반의 미국 사회 그 자체를 별로 있다.
심~있어 의미가 있었습니다.1960년대의 사회 배경이 포함시켜진 가사라고 하면,
어딘지 모르게 느끼고 있던 위화감을 납득했습니다^^
